This past weekend we made a trip to Nevada. Our nephew, Zach, is leaving on a mission to Ohio next week so we went to listen to him speak in church last Sunday. I was so glad we went even though it meant another 14 + hours in the car. We left Saturday morning at 8:00, stopped in Park Valley, (the tiny community where I grew up) to visit my grandparents and then arrived in Winnemucca, NV, at about 7:00 that evening. I can't believe how well the kids, particularly the babies, did considering the amount of time we'd already spent in the car. Prayer really works!! Anyway, a lot of DJ's siblings were able to come as well so we had a mini family reunion minus a few family members. We always have such a great time visiting and laughing and the kids play so well together. Valerie, my sister-in-law, worked so hard preparing meals, arranging places for people to stay, cleaning up after feeding the 5,000, and still managed to keep a smile on her face the whole time. Sunday morning at 9:00 Zach spoke, then we all came home and had a great meal with the family and then left for home. With a few stops along the way, we were home by 8:00 that evening, just in time to feed and bathe the kids and put them to bed before their 1st day of school.
