Cute cousin pictures!

While we were in Cokeville, we got to see a lot of our nieces and nephews that we don't get to see very often.  Our niece Ashlee has two darling little girls, Ali and Leah (I hope I'm spelling these right)  Anyway, Leah is the best natured little baby and Kami couldn't get enough of her.

I wish I would've taken a picture of Ali--she is gorgeous just like Ashlee and Leah!
Morgan being a goof ball.  She's going to be sorry one day when she discovers that all she has is pictures of herself acting goofy (or maybe she won't) She's one of a kind!
Janae, Regan, and Goofy Morgan

Hallelujah, a normal picture of Morgan!

The quality of this picture is awful but this is my niece, Moriah

And, this is her husband, Asa (aka, Awesome, Asa)! They make the cutest couple and are so cute and patient with all of the kids! It worked out so well that we went to visit G&G Teichert on the same weekend!

Fun in Cokeville!

We got to spend a couple of days in Cokeville visiting DJ's family and managed to cram a whole bunch of fun things in, in a short amount of time.  We watched our nephew, Bronson, wrestle in tournament which was tons of fun and something new for my kids.  It was fun to see them get so involved cheering and screaming for their cousin.  Bronson did a great job and we were happy to have a chance to watch him.  DJ also got to take the kids skiing at Pine Creek for the second time this season.  The weather couldn't have been better and the snow was perfect according to DJ!  I stayed with the babies and hung out with DJ's parents and then we took a yummy pizza lunch up to them half way through the day.  Kaleb was ready for lunch but anxious to hurry and eat and get back out on the mountain.  He loves to ski more than any kid I know and is so completely energetic about the whole thing.  In fact, he spent all of Saturday morning begging me to take him back up for another day of skiing but it unfortunetly the weather wasn't as favorable and we really wanted to watch the wrestling tourny.   Anyway, I think the other girls had a good time, especially when they discovered a new little run they hadn't been on, and they got to ski for a little while with their cousins, Janae and Leona.
Jordyn and Tana

Jordyn had a rough morning skiing--I think she was a little mad because she wanted to stay and play with Tana at Grandma's house.   After lunch she decided skiing wasn't so bad and ended up having a great time.

Grandma Teichert and Kami enjoying lunch (the hat on Kami's head has been a permanent thing lately, I think it makes her look like a cancer victim)

DJ and Morgan getting ready to hit the slopes after lunch.  DJ didn't even want to stop for lunch so we took him pieces of pizza and cookies in between runs.
Grandpa Teichert helping the babies down to the car after lunch
Kaleb enjoying lunch, the kids said he had this grin all day--he LOVES to ski--makes me wish we lived in Cokeville so he could ski more often

We left the kids and DJ for more skiing and I headed over with DJ's parents to Montpelier, to visit DJ's sister, Patty, in the nursing home.  They put on a "Sweetheart Pageant" for all of the residents and Patty was queen for the day and I have pictures to prove it!  More to come on that!

need bedtime.....NOW

SIBLINGS:  Best Friends..........Worst enemies

Today it's the latter.

I have a headache.

I'm so ready for the kids to go to bed.

Love them all, just need a break from them, thank goodness for bedtime.

Tomorrow will be better.

I hope.

This was taken yesterday when they liked each other.  Today, well, I was too busy breaking up fights to take pictures.  And...these two weren't the only ones in on the "fun."

well, not quite.

Kaleb's already been sent to his room after only being up for approximately 1/2 hour

Porter and Kamryn spent the entire breakfast chasing after one another screaming and crying

Jordyn and Morgan nearly missed the bus

I'm ready to crawl back in to bed and put the pillow over my head.

Happy Birthday to DJ and Chloe!

Yesterday my handsome husband and my cute neice celebrated their B-Day's!  DJ turned 38 and Chloe turned 7!  While my hubby claims that he is still trying to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up, Chloe already has her life figured out! She's going to be a Chef and a Magician (cute, huh?)--sounds good to me, I wish I was a good magician and could work up a magnificent meal with one stroke of the wand.  Anyway, Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband.  Though he claims he doesn't know what he wants to do or be when he grows up, he's doing a pretty dang good job of taking care of our family. He somehow manages to juggle lots of things gracefully--husband, father to 6 great kids, Bishop of our ward family, teacher of Study Skills courses at BYU Idaho, just to name a few!  We just celebrated 15 years of marriage in December and a busy 15 years it has been!!  CRAZY!!!  Are we really that old??? I'm not in to the mushy gushy stuff but I do love my husband and I'm grateful he's mine for eternity!  Happy Birthday!!!

Indoor Soccer girls

Aka:  "Pink Lemonade."  The coach had a party a few weeks ago with most of the girls on the soccer team and hear are a few photos of the fun.  These girls have done really well considering this is their first season of Indoor and they are playing a lot of mixed boy/girl teams as well as a some pretty awesome Mexican teams (man, can they play soccer).  Though Morgan has had a lot of fun playing indoor, she says she misses outdoor soccer and can't wait for the spring session to start!

Pop!! (Kami's latest trick)

I'm one of those mom's that is easily amused by the silly things my kids do--this makes me laugh everytime she does it. I love watching her blow up her cheeks to get ready for the big "pop!"

"Gas, Mommy, Gas"

Porter and Kamryn were both squeeling with delight yesterday at the Orthodontist when they discovered the first signs of grass, otherwise known as "gas."  It was a whopping 38 degrees in Idaho Falls yesterday so there was a ton of melting going on, especially in town.  As soon as the car door was opened and they were unbuckled, they made a mad dash to the grass and started screaming, "Gas, Mommy, Gas, we lay down on it!"  They both sprawled out on the tiny piece of grass squeeling with excitement!!  They made my day with their enthusiasm!

My Hamburger Family

Regan wrote this poem for her honor's English class:

My Hamburger Family

My dad is the bun of our family. He's strong and holds us together.

My mom is the hamburger. She makes life taste good.

Morgan is the mayo and ketchup. She is what makes life full of flavor.

Jordyn is the mustard. She is what makes life spicy and fun.

Kaleb is the cheese. He is what makes life smooth and more delicious.

Porter is the tomato. He is what makes life more juicy and sweet.

Kamryn is the lettuce. She is what gives life more color.

And that is my hamburger family.

By Regan

I think this poem is so cute and it gave a me an idea of how she views each member of our family!

Kaleb's funnies

I took the kids to the church this morning to exercise with some of the sister's in our ward.  On the way in, Kaleb commented on how clean the glass doors were and mentioned that he had cleaned them when he came over to the church with DJ earlier in the week.  Then he got really serious and said, "ya mom, and I really don't want Porter touching the glass with his filthy paws today."  Alrighty then!  Well, much to Kaleb's dismay, Porter did put his "filthy paws" all over the glass doors, so before we left, Kaleb insisted on cleaning them all over again, and of course, Mr. Filthy Paw's himself had to help too.  Kaleb was NOT pleased!  Gotta love kids!

Not as much fun as she thought!

Jordyn had her tonsils out last Friday and found out that it IS possible to be sick of eating popsicles, ice cream, pudding, jello, etc, and watching tons of movies!  She's actually done pretty well and surprisingly she's had very little pain medicine.  Her stomach couldn't handle the prescription meds so she's just been taking the children's pain medicine and doing pretty well.  She cracks me up because if there is one thing true about Jordyn, it's that she LOVES food!  She is not going to let a sore throat stand in the way of eating what she loves so she just sucks on pretty much everything until it's soft enough to not cause a lot of pain. I'm sure this has been to her benefit because she's had quite a bit of energy and strength back fairly quick.  But, on the down side, she starts feeling really good and then over does it and then she's grumpy and feeling nasty in the evening.  I've got to do a better job of insisting that she stay down.  I thought I was pretty well prepared with a stock of movies, books on CD, and gobs of new books from the library but she's bored of them all.  Thank goodness for my sweet neighbor for loading us up with 6 new movies this morning!

Before the surgery at Mountain View Hospital (we had to be there by 6:00 a.m)  She went in to surgery at 7:30 and was out by 7:45!  Wow, that was fast!  Dr. Hinckley told me that he was very glad that she was getting them out because not only were they really large but one had a big cyst growing on it.
The hospital gave her this cute purple puppy right before surgery! She hasn't put it down.

This nurse was so cute and made Jordyn feel really relaxed and comfortable!
It was really wierd for me to see her one minute feeling so great and then 15 minutes      later feeling so completely rotten.  It broke my heart to see her so sad and in so much pain!  She had one request to make from the Dr. before surgery.  She wanted to see her tonsils after surgery.  The nurse brought them in after and she was pretty pleased.  Disgusting if you ask me!
She had a slushy and then a good nap before heading home and we were home by around 9:00.
Not feeling so red hot.  It took us a while to figure out that she was throwing up because of her pain medication.  As soon as we figured that out, she did a lot better!  The problem now is her severe ear pain that the Dr. says is completely normal and should only last a couple of more days.

Grandpa's not afraid of a little throw up:)!!
My mom came to stay the night before so she'd be there to help
get the kids off to school in the morning. Mom's are the best!

Morgan, Regan, and Kaleb had a little "party" for Jordyn on Saturday complete with a get well poster, no bake cookies, special bed on the couch, a huge string of beads, and special treatment.  I wish they always got a long this well.  It's times like these that help me to know that they really do love and care for each other even though they fight a lot.
