So True!

My sister posted this on her blog a few days ago and I love it!  Soooo true!

Kids!

I'm terrible at recording the funny and cute things that go on at our house from day to day but I'm sure I could write a book if I'd take the time to jot them down.  Here's just a few that I can think of:

Regan:  "Can I please have a sip of your punch, Jordyn?"
Jordyn:  "No, you left yours in your locker!"
Regan:  (taking a sip) "It's okay, don't worry, I've only thrown up a couple of times today":) hahaha!
Jordyn....not amused!

Regan talking to Holly Andrus at Y.W.'s one night:
Holly:  "How are the driving lessons going with your dad?"
Regan:  "Good, except that he yells at me every time I run a stop sign!" :):)
Holly:  "Well, I think that's probably a good thing, Regan!"
DJ later clarified that Regan hasn't actually run any stop signs, she just has a habit of not slowing down until the last minute and slams on the breaks...not good, but better than running through them:)

Morgan:  "Where's my water bottle, Porter?"  "You can't have my water bottle!"
Porter:  "Here you go, I was just shakin' it for ya!"

Porter:  "Mommy, you are the best mommy in the whole world." I love you more than a pig!!!  (squeezing me around the neck as tight as he possibly can)

Double trouble!

What can I say about these two? They have more fun together and just continually make me laugh, smile, and cry with the cute things they do and say.  I'm sure Porter will hate me someday for posting this lovely picture of him in the chef hat and wig but who cares, I get the giggles every time I look at it!
One night, Porter was pitching a fit about the dinner menu and Kamryn couldn't stand the thought of him missing out on dessert so she decided she'd feed him. :)   She used every tactic she could think of to get him to open his mouth and finally her hard work paid off.  These two just kill me because they get each other in trouble and then as soon as the punishment is in place, they are backpedaling and trying to convince me that the whole thing was an accident.:)  They can't stand to see each other sad or hurt and will go to great lengths to fix a problem!  I try to imagine how things will be for them when they are in High School and college....I can just imagine her sitting in the cafeteria right by him coaxing him to eat all of his school lunch:)
Lego's have to be one of the favorite toys at our house.  They've spent hours during the day building extravagant buildings and playing "lego house!"

And...when they need to shake things up a bit, they invite their good buddy, Larcen, to come and play!  What cute kids they are!

Valentine's Breakfast!

I'm not sure our Valentine's breakfast event would happen each year if it weren't for my awesome mom who provides a fun Valentine package for the kids packed with all of the necessary paper goods plus a few extra treats!  Seriously, my kids have the best Grandma's EVER!!  It's kind of funny because in the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day, the kids speculate on what kinds of exciting foods they will eat on Valentine's morning. Even though I never do anything that exciting, I always try to have a little something new and fun each year.  This year the menu was:  heart shaped sugar/cinnamon scones, strawberry's and cantalope, white chocolate dipped strawberry's, link sausages, orange juice colored pink, and of course, and a yummy bottle of "love potion" which was probably the hit (I bought water bottles and added a packet of drink mix to each one and printed a love potion printable from one of my favorite blogs to cover up the water bottle sticker.  I ended up doing these for a few of the kids friends only we just taped the drink packet to the side so they could mix when they wanted.  Anyway, it was a pretty unhealthy breakfast especially when you consider the bag of candy I put at the top of each plate...oh well, it's only once a year, right?  Mom, here are a few pictures...thanks again for making Valentine's Day special!  We love you!

Twinners

I have tons of memories sitting in front of the t.v. watching "American Bandstand" while my mom wrapped my sisters and my hair in those pink spongy rollers so I always get a little excited when my girls ask for rollers in there hair!  I couldn't help but snap a few pictures of Kamryn and Jordyn in their matching bathrobes and rollered heads!  It's kind of crazy that there is only a matter of a few inches difference between these two girls yet they are 5 years apart.  Most of the time Jordyn doesn't say much about but every so often, usually when we discover that Kamryn fits in to her most favorite hand-me-down clothing items, she voices her disgust.

Kids Winter pics

My parents gave all of the kids new stinking adorable, warm coats for Christmas so I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of them together.  It was a bit nippy the morning when we took these so the kids have that, "mom, I'm going to freeze," look on their faces but they still turned out darn cute considering I don't have a fancy pants camera!

Round 2!!

Morgan got her second set of braces put on last week!  Man, her mouth has been expensive but it's money that I'm happy to spend because of the gorgeous, confident smile that she has and will have once she's finished!  So, now we have 2 in braces and 4 more to go!
2 very beautiful ("metal mouths":)
