It's April 6th and we woke up to at least 5" of snow this morning. I sent the kids out the door to the bus stop only to have them come bounding back in 3 minutes later yelling at the top of their lungs, "NO SCHOOL, NO SCHOOL"!! So, minutes later, guess what they told me they were going to do on their day off.......PLAY SCHOOL!! Funny kids!
I believe this is the first time I've ever heard of school cancelled in April, due to weather!

That's totally crazy! We are on "Spring" break right now, ironically.
No one is playing school here, though, they're just fighting and making messes. I kid, it's not ALL fighting and making messes, but mostly it is.
We really needed good weather to survive this week off school! :)
My mom told me there was no school due to 5 inches of snow. What wimps! The weather report is saying Wednesday and Thursday will finally be sunshiney, so I'm crossing my fingers. We're branding again Thursday, I wish you could make it!
I'm totally moving to Hawaii.
Yuck! I'm sure that the kids had a lot of fun playing school at home! I'm really, really sorry about the snow (in April) though, that stinks!
Why is it that playing school is so much more fun than the actual thing?
I can relate! We had a FOOT on the first day of our Spring Break. But we didn't get a snow day. I have lived here for 14 year, with snow storms that have dropped up to two feet at a time, and we have never had a snow day. "snow" not fair!
