Memorial Day with Grandma & Grandpa Rose

We got together with mom, dad, and Grandma Johnson on Memorial Day for a fun picnic at Tauphus Park. We had great food, fun visits, and lots of playing. The kids love this new park that was added a couple of years ago and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful. Kamryn & Porter loved getting fed bits of food from every direction and Kamryn spent her time cruising around trying to escape to the playground. She practically runs around now which makes me extra grateful that Porter is still just crawling. Anyway, Grandpa brought his horse along with him so after our picnic we headed home for horse rides down the street. Kaleb was so completely excited about this, in fact, the 2 days prior were spent talking my ear off about how he was going to ride Smoky all by himself with his cowboy hat and boots on. It cracked me up to see him in his shorts, tee shirt, cowboy boots, and hat, sporting a gigantic brave smile. I think he would've ridden him all day long. This past week he kept telling me that we've got to go pick up "his" horse from Grandpa. Apparently Smoky is his horse now. What do you think of that, Grandpa???

On a side not, DJ decided to play basketball early Monday morning with a few guys and ended up hurting his back pretty bad. He was in so much pain but was a good sport and hobbled along for the picnic. Getting old is tough (as DJ would say)

I love the proud look on Kaleb's face in this picture. Grandpa handed him the reigns and walked away for this picture. Kaleb was please as pie!
Morg's lost another tooth Saturday evening. DJ was so sick of seeing her with her hands in her mouth that he told her the tooth fairy paid better on weekends so she pulled it out herself. Good thing the tooth fairy happened to make a trip to the bank the day before!
